It’s amazing how nature changes in autumn. If one doesn’t watch it intently, the changes are almost indiscernible. They happen so smoothly that you don’t have time to notice them. You simply go outdoors and see that autumn has come, while it seems that summer was just here! And it is seems that all is in its place: the trees, the river, the hills – but take a good look at them. Their colors and shapes have become completely different! Did you notice that part of autumn had been such wet weather that the ground, the greenery and the bare trunks of trees became black, swelled with moisture? The plants faded and softened, bowed to the earth, began to be crushed underfoot. The crowns of trees, once forming a green lace, had torn and exhaustedly blown by wind. All became brownish black, dark and wet.
