The color of the sky – Landscape painting lessons

1. The sky changes color in horizontal and vertical directions.
2. In the vertical direction it’s cooler and darker at the top, and warmer and lighter at the bottom
3. In the horizontal direction it’s warmer and lighter near the Sun.
4. When the sky is cloudy, the bottom of the sky can be darker near the horizon than near the top (the zenith).
